I think there is nothing better than an opportunity to get your makeup done and get some beautiful pictures of yourself. Not for anyone other than you. The outfits don't really matter but the level of confidence that comes from being reminded of how beautiful you are is so super powerful. I have had such an amazing time doing a variety of these Self Love photography sessions at the absolute cutest studio here in Albuquerque.

We had the absolute dreamiest light for this family session at the Rio Grande River in Albuquerque,New Mexico. I had the honor of photographing Stephanie and Dillons wedding so when they touched base again a year later for a family session with their adorable new addition, I was SO excited. We finished our session in the river with the prettiest backlight for the perfect summer session.

B+A Dreamy Cannon Beach Elopement | Hey Ashley Shaw

My trip this summer to Portland and also the Oregon Coast was magical. I had the opportunity to do an engagement session (next blog post I promise...probably) and then two elopement sessions and just wow. Can I take pictures on the beach every day for the rest of forever? B and A were just straight fire. I almost sometimes hesitate to post pictures of them because of the fact we can't all look this good and have this much chemistry and they almost put the bar too high. We laughed so much during this session that I just walked away from it feeling fulfilled if that makes sense. It was just one of those wow sessions that reaffirmed why I love doing this.
