My husband and I agree on a lot of trigger topics. Politics? We're pretty much on the same page. Raising our kids? Actually going pretty well so far. Places to live and visit? It starts getting a little tricky there. He loves the cold. I feel like I paid my cold weather dues after 4 years undergrad in Idaho and 2 years in Utah. He loves the outdoors. I do too but I also love shopping, and eating, and shopping. So when it comes to Arizona, I am always up for a visit and he tries to avoid it as much as possible. I'm actually heading with all four kids to visit my mom in Mesa next week and were leaving him behind to work. The weather is supposed to be in the 70s and I'm so stoked. Arizona is one of my favorite places to photograph. There's such a huge variety of looks and one of my favorite spots is along the Salt River. Coon Bluff has the perfect mix of saguaro cactus, trees, rocks and water! This elopement was everything my heart could have asked for. What's your favorite thing to do in Arizona? Have you been? Do you live there? Send me all your favorite Arizona things in the comments below!

One amazing opportunity that has come from the COVID-19 wedding reschedules has been me realizing how much I LOVE taking branding photos for other business owners. Alanna is the owner of Betty Rose By Alanna that offers amazing hair and makeup services. No matter where you are getting married, make sure to take her with you because she's the absolute sweetest and her entire team is as well. You can check her out at bettyrose.com and you won't regret it. Branding photos are so important for a variety of reasons. I know a lot of the times we think of the word "headshot" and think of some super boring, impersonal, out of date images. That's what I think of at least before I started taking them. I kept thinking of a bunch of fake smiles and collared shirts but that is NOT what branding photos have to be. You are allowed to have a personality in your headshots and I think more times than not, a headshot or branding photo that captures your essence is going to ultimately land you your dream clients because they get to see a small piece of you! Have you ever thought about getting branding photos done? What's holding you back? Drop a comment down below so I can figure out if anyone ever actually reads this blog or if I can really start putting some juicy stuff in here because it's acting as more of a personal diary than a public blog.

Family pictures can be so overwhelming, right? You like go into them and you spend days and days figuring out outfits, picking a photographer, choosing a location, etc. and then the day of you poke yourself in the eye with your mascara wand, your baby doesn't nap and the wind speeds are picking up (especially here in New Mexico). I feel like sometimes you leave the session feeling like "there's no way any of those turned out." I have totally been there but I can guarantee you that you will look back on these memories and treasure them so make sure that you capture them! These sweet babies won't stay little nearly long enough.
